This week was a special week for Anti-Bullying. Our week kicked with Odd Socks Day and the children all wore their odd socks in support of being different. They even designed their own odd socks. We also had lots of circle times based on what bullying means, what it looks like and what can we do if we are being bullied or see bullying. We finished we a lovely circle time on giving each other compliments to make our friends and ourselves smile.
We also enjoyed a windy and soggy Muddy Monday. The children worked together to make replicas of Andy Goldsworthy patterns using the nature materials they have foraged for. However, it did get windy so we created them in the school hall!
The children have been flying with learning all their new sounds in their phonics lessons. The have enjoyed meeting Joe from Phonics Shed and have learnt how to read and write CVC words with their new sounds.
As part of our topic Healthy Me the children have learnt all about healthy foods and balanced diets. They have sorted healthy foods, created a healthy lunch box and made healthy snacks like fruit kebabs.
