Swans and Chicks had a lovely Easter workshop this morning with lots of Mums, Dads, Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents. The children worked very hard creatively making an Easter Bonnet. The children then paraded their hats down the catwalk and everybody had fun hunting for eggs on the school field. A big thank you to everyone who attended. It was a lovely morning with parents and children working and having fun together.

Jack and the Beanstalk
Overnight a beanstalk grew in our classroom! We decided to make the beanstalk some beautiful leaves! We also worked hard making the golden harp and the golden eggs that Jack stole from the giant.
We have also been busy adding up Jack’s beans as well as acting out and writing the Jack and the Beanstalk story. Mrs Hill was very impressed with our wonderful writing!

Play, Stay and Chats
This week it was our play, stay and chat sessions. It was lovely to chat to the Mum’s and Dad’s about their child’s progress and the children absolutely adored working with them in the classroom. The parents and children worked together to plant a bean seed that will hopefully grow tall enough to reach the castle!
Muddy Monday
This week we went outside and we measured sticks! We hunted high and low for sticks that were the same size as Mrs Hill’s ruler, sticks that were shorter than the ruler and sticks that were longer than the ruler. We also placed the sticks in size order and used the language of short, shorter, shortest, long, longer, longest.
