Easter Workshop

This week the foundation stage held their Easter workshop. Parents were invited to join their children to make an Easter hat. Everyone gathered in the dinner hall, selected the resources they wanted to use from a large selection and then set about making their creations.

There were lots of great hats created!

Poetry Performances

The children have been poets this week. We began by learning a poem that Mrs Hill had written and we devised our own actions. The children then performed their versions of the poem to each family group. The children then devised their own poems about fireworks. Once again the children thought of their own actions and they performed their poems to each family group. I hope you agree the children are performed their poems fantastically.

Best costume for Easter!

The children have had a lovely time today dressed as Easter bunnies and chicks. The winner in our class for the best costume was Joshua who won a Smartie egg. Well done Joshua!!!

7 chicks and counting!

We now have 7 chicks in Reception Class. Mrs Franklin has turned veterinary nurse and had to splint one of the chick’s legs as he is a bit wobbly and unsteady.

3 more chicks to hatch, hopefully they will be with us soon.

The children have been singing “Chick chick chick chick chicken lay a little egg for me”. We have some wonderful little singers….a right chicks chorus!!!
